Stillness Isn’t Silence — It’s Where Stories Breathe
When I started exploring stillness in photography, I wasn’t chasing applause — I was chasing clarity. The kind of clarity that appears only when the world stops trying to impress you. Stillness forces the frame to work harder: no dramatic subjects, no loud colours, no overly constructed scenes — just the quiet truth of a moment.
That’s why having two of my photographs, including “Island of Stillness,” featured in Marika Media Magazine (Europe), Issue 5901, actually matters to me. Not because it’s international, not because it adds a line to my résumé, but because it proves one thing — simplicity still has weight.
Marika Media is known for curating visual narratives that speak without shouting. Seeing my work placed in that space tells me the intention behind these images landed exactly where it should: with people who recognise emotion in silence.
I’m grateful for the feature, but more importantly, I’m glad the quiet frames found a home where they’re seen for what they are — stories that breathe when everything else goes still.
